With “safety first” in mind as the pandemic has unfolded, the All-Alumni Leadership Conference is now scheduled for May 15-19, 2022. This conference will honor the incredible advocacy work, collaborations, and survivorship of the attendees since Escape’s inception in 2010 and is open only to advocates that have attended in the past.

What to expect from the All-Alumni Leadership Conference?  

As always, the conference will provide a tranquil environment conducive to connecting and collaborating. Opportunities to lead workshops or discussions will be extended to participants. You will enjoy the same scheduling as in the past as the conference agenda will be balanced with time to explore wellness and mindfulness activities. Be ready after this long hiatus to reconnect, share your knowledge and experience and find another “ah-ha” moment with colleagues! Come join us as we explore the overarching themes of:

Now approaching its 10th year, Escape to THRIVE was designed by and for cancer advocates. It combines features of a national leadership conference with collaboration and self-care components to support advocates to continue their work effectively – all with the ultimate goal of improving cancer patient education and outreach. No other conference offers this balance of learning and skills to embrace the WHOLE advocate – professionally and personally. A research study is underway to evaluate the efficacy of this transformative conference format. Be part of the collaboration!

Advocates representing over 100 organizations from around the country have attended, and many have participated more than once.
